The Lord lifts up the meek; and casts the wicked to the ground.
The meek in judgment he will guide, and make his path to know.
For God doth pleasure take in those that his own people be; And he with his salvation the meek will beautify.
God raiseth all that are bow'd down, upholdeth all that fall.
But thou, O Lord my God, those men in justice shalt o'erthrow, And in destruction's dungeon dark at last shalt lay them low: The bloody and deceitful men shall not live half their days: But upon thee with confidence I will depend always.
But by inheritance the earth the meek ones shall possess: They also shall delight themselves in an abundant peace.
The Lord, the God of Israel, be bless'd for ever then, From age to age eternally. Amen, yea, and amen.
