O happy is that man and blest, whom Jacob's God doth aid; Whose hope upon the Lord doth rest, and on his God is stay'd:
Those people blessed are who be in such a case as this; Yea, blessed all those people are, whose God JEHOVAH is.
For thou, O Lord God, art my hope, and from my youth my trust.
That nation blessed is, whose God JEHOVAH is, and those A blessed people are, whom for his heritage he chose.
O thou that art the Lord of hosts, that man is truly blest, Who by assured confidence on thee alone doth rest.
Our God, who is the Lord of hosts, is still upon our side; The God of Jacob our refuge for ever will abide.
Lord God of hosts, my prayer hear; O Jacob's God, give ear.
The Lord of hosts upon our side doth constantly remain: The God of Jacob's our refuge, us safely to maintain.
And now, O Lord, what wait I for? my hope is fix'd on thee.
We rise, and upright stand, when they are bowed down, and fall.
Come, and behold what wondrous works have by the Lord been wrought; Come, see what desolations he on the earth hath brought.
