I cry'd to thee; I said, Thou art my refuge, Lord, alone; And in the land of those that live thou art my portion.
God is of mine inheritance and cup the portion; The lot that fallen is to me thou dost maintain alone.
Thou my sure portion art alone, which I did chuse, O Lord: I have resolv'd, and said, that I would keep thy holy word.
I of the Lord my God will say, He is my refuge still, He is my fortress, and my God, and in him trust I will.
God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;
I fainted had, unless that I believed had to see The Lord's own goodness in the land of them that living be.
My flesh and heart doth faint and fail, but God doth fail me never: For of my heart God is the strength and portion for ever.
Wilt thou not, who from death me sav'd, my feet from falls keep free, To walk before God in the light of those that living be?
Our God, who is the Lord of hosts, is still upon our side; The God of Jacob our refuge for ever will abide.
The Lord of hosts upon our side doth constantly remain: The God of Jacob's our refuge, us safely to maintain.
They, to the spoiling of my soul, me ill for good repaid.
