I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: unto the cry Of all my supplications, Lord, do thine ear apply.
But as for me, O Lord, my trust upon thee I did lay; And I to thee, Thou art my God, did confidently say.
To God thus was my speech, Thou art my Lord; and unto thee my goodness doth not reach:
I cry'd to thee; I said, Thou art my refuge, Lord, alone; And in the land of those that live thou art my portion.
Thou my sure portion art alone, which I did chuse, O Lord: I have resolv'd, and said, that I would keep thy holy word.
Lord, hear my pray'r, attend my suits; and in thy faithfulness Give thou an answer unto me, and in thy righteousness.
My voice, Lord, do thou hear: Unto my supplication's voice give an attentive ear.
I love the Lord, because my voice and prayers he did hear.
I of the Lord my God will say, He is my refuge still, He is my fortress, and my God, and in him trust I will.
When I to thee my prayer make, Lord, to my voice give ear; My life save from the enemy, of whom I stand in fear.
My heart is fix'd, my heart is fix'd, O God; I'll sing and praise.
I look'd on my right hand, and view'd, but none to know me were; All refuge failed me, no man did for my soul take care.
