How unto God he sware, and vow'd to Jacob's mighty One.

Praise waits for thee in Sion, Lord: to thee vows paid shall be.

Till for the Lord a place I find, where he may make abode; A place of habitation for Jacob's mighty God.

I sworn have, and I will perform, to keep thy judgments right.

Thy vows upon me are, O God: I'll render praise to thee.

The mighty God, the Lord, hath spoken, and did call The earth, from rising of the sun, to where he hath his fall.

Our God, who is the Lord of hosts, is still upon our side; The God of Jacob our refuge for ever will abide.
