Unto all generations thy faithfulness doth last: The earth thou hast established, and it abides by thee.
For why? the Lord our God is good, His mercy is for ever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, And shall from age to age endure.
He also, for all times to come, hath them establish'd sure; He hath appointed them a law, which ever shall endure.
The Lord doth reign, and cloth'd is he with majesty most bright; His works do shew him cloth'd to be, and girt about with might. The world is also stablished, that it cannot depart.
Thy mercy, Lord, is in the heav'ns; thy truth doth reach the clouds:
The heav'ns are thine, thou for thine own the earth dost also take; The world, and fulness of the same, thy pow'r did found and make.
Who earth's foundations did lay, that it should never shake.
