That I will keep thy statutes all firmly resolv'd have I: O do not then, most gracious God, forsake me utterly.
O do not cast me off, when as old age doth overtake me; And when my strength decayed is, then do not thou forsake me.
Cast me not from thy sight, nor take thy Holy Sp'rit away.
I, like a lost sheep, went astray; thy servant seek, and find: For thy commands I suffer'd not to slip out of my mind.
And now, Lord, leave me not, when I old and gray-headed grow: Till to this age thy strength and pow'r to all to come I show.
I sworn have, and I will perform, to keep thy judgments right.
Upon thy statutes my delight shall constantly be set: And, by thy grace, I never will thy holy word forget.
With my whole heart I cry'd, Lord, hear; I will thy word obey.
