Reproach and shame remove from me, for I thy laws observe.
Turn thou away my fear'd reproach; for good thy judgments be.
Free me from all my trespasses, the fool's scorn make not me.
So shall I have wherewith I may give him an answer just, Who spitefully reproacheth me; for in thy word I trust.
'Tis as a sword within my bones, when my foes me upbraid; Ev'n when by them, Where is thy God? 'tis daily to me said.
And, like unto the light, he shall thy righteousness display; And he thy judgment shall bring forth like noon-tide of the day.
Set thou thy trust upon the Lord, and be thou doing good; And so thou in the land shalt dwell, and verily have food.
