O Lord, of those that humble are thou the desire didst hear; Thou wilt prepare their heart, and thou to hear wilt bend thine ear;
He will accomplish the desire of those that do him fear: He also will deliver them, and he their cry will hear.
God's eyes are on the just; his ears are open to their cry.
Delight thyself in God; he'll give thine heart's desire to thee.
When he enquireth after blood, he then rememb'reth them: The humble folk he not forgets that call upon his name.
The prayer of the destitute he surely will regard; Their prayer will he not despise, by him it shall be heard.
For they that needy are shall not forgotten be alway; The expectation of the poor shall not be lost for aye.
