the crowds however have said: this is the prophet Yehoshua from Natseret, in Galilee.

some however (have said), that Eliyahu has self appeared; and others—that one of the old prophets is raised up.


however seeing that, has the Pharisee, who has him invited, to themselves alone spoken, so to say: if he were a prophet, would he known who and who for a sort woman she is, who touch him without, that she is a sinner.


and (to) everyone has seize a fear; and they have praised Hashem, so to say: a great prophet is stand up among us, and Hashem has self looked favorably on his people.


and he will go ahead before him in the spirit and in the power of Eliyahu, back to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient—to the understanding of righteous (ones), to create a prepared people for the L-rd (Hashem). (Malachi 4, 5-6; Yeshayah 40, 3.)


and when Herod has this heard, has he said: John, whom I have chopped off the head, he is again stood up.
