The way of peace they do not know, and there is no justice in their ways. Their roads they have made crooked; no one who walks in them knows peace.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

to shine upon those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked.

ruin and misery are in their paths,
