So I ask, have they stumbled so as to fall? By no means! But through their stumbling salvation has come to the gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?

For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.

Say to them: As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from their ways and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?

He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “Heaven forbid!”

As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people urged them to speak about these things again the next Sabbath.

When they opposed and reviled him, in protest he shook the dust from his clothes and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the gentiles.”

Again I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says, “I will use those who are not a nation to make you jealous; with a foolish nation I will provoke you.”

I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

Now if their stumbling means riches for the world and if their loss means riches for gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!

in order to make my own people jealous and thus save some of them.

so also they have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they also may now receive mercy.
