Blessed is the one who reads the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
Happy is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors.
And Jeremiah said to Seraiah: “When you come to Babylon, see that you read all these words,
“So when you see the desolating sacrilege, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is already the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers;
the night is far gone; the day is near. Let us then throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light;
The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.
But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
“See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone’s work.
The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one takes away your crown.
