Do you work wonders for the dead? Do the shades rise up to praise you? Selah
The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence.
I shall not die, but I shall live and recount the deeds of the Lord.
I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who can give you praise?
be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all day long.
Your dead shall live; their corpses shall rise. Those who dwell in the dust will awake and shout for joy! For your dew is a radiant dew, and the earth will give birth to those long dead.
