Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
The mighty one, God the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
“Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God.
Against you, you alone, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are justified in your sentence and blameless when you pass judgment.
O God, why do you cast us off forever? Why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?
The words of the wise: Incline your ear and hear my words and apply your mind to my teaching,
Listen to me, my people, and give heed to me, my nation, for a teaching will go out from me and my justice for a light to the peoples.
Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live. I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
If you have ears, hear!”
Hear, O kings; give ear, O princes; to the Lord I will sing; I will make melody to the Lord, the God of Israel.
