Wake up! Rouse yourself for my defense, for my cause, my God and my Lord!
Rouse yourself! Why do you sleep, O Lord? Awake, do not cast us off forever!
Rise up, O Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake, O my God; you have appointed a judgment.
Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago! Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon?
I cry to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
He shall cry to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation!’
before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh. Stir up your might, and come to save us!
for no fault of mine, they run and make ready. Rouse yourself, come to my help and see!
Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered around you, and over it take your seat on high.
O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous, you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God.
Why do you hide your face? Why do you forget our affliction and oppression?
Rise up, O God, plead your cause; remember how the impious scoff at you all day long.
Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to your promise.
You have seen the wrong done to me, O Lord; judge my cause.
