For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Did not he who made me in the womb make them? And did not one fashion us in the womb?
Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.
From my birth I have leaned upon you, my protector since my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you.
O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you in the womb and will help you: Do not fear, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from your birth, carried from the womb;
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
