Confirm to your servant your promise, which is for those who fear you.
but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.
For in him every one of God’s promises is a “Yes.” For this reason it is through him that we say the “Amen,” to the glory of God.
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children,
As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
He fulfills the desire of all who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.
Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.
Therefore, O God of Israel, let your word be confirmed that you promised to your servant my father David.
This is my comfort in my distress, that your promise gives me life.
Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant.
Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to your promise.
