The Lord God has given me a trained tongue, that I may know how to sustain the weary with a word. Morning by morning he wakens, wakens my ear to listen as those who are taught.

The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the minds of fools.

Wisdom is a fountain of life to one who has it, but folly is the punishment of fools.

Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

On the lips of one who has understanding wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of one who lacks sense.

Doing wrong is like sport to a fool, but wise conduct is pleasure to a person of understanding.
