I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble and through it many become defiled.

Poverty and disgrace are for the one who ignores instruction, but one who heeds reproof is honored.

A fool despises a parent’s instruction, but the one who heeds admonition is prudent.

The ear that heeds wholesome admonition will lodge among the wise.

The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor.

It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools.

The look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them, for they have brought evil on themselves.

Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray.

Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future.
