I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand: I will repay it. I say nothing about your owing me even your own self.
I myself will be surety for him; you can hold me accountable for him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever.
I Tertius, the writer of this letter, greet you in the Lord.
For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I fathered you through the gospel.
I myself, Paul, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you but bold toward you when I am away!—
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by all,
otherwise, if some Macedonians come with me and find that you are not ready, we would be put to shame—to say nothing of you—in this undertaking.
Listen! I, Paul, am telling you that, if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.
See what large letters I make when I am writing in my own hand!
To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
To Titus, my true child in the faith we share: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
If he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to me.
