Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me in ministry.

Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.’ ”

All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness; there is not even one.”

So you also, when you have done all that you were ordered to do, say, ‘We are worthless slaves; we have done only what we ought to have done!’ ”

As for this worthless slave, throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
