You shall remove all its fat, as the fat of the sheep is removed from the sacrifice of well-being, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar, with the offerings by fire to the Lord. Thus the priest shall make atonement on your behalf for the sin that you have committed, and you shall be forgiven.

He shall bring the bull to the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord and lay his hand on the head of the bull; the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.

“But if you cannot afford a sheep, you shall bring to the Lord, as your penalty for the sin that you have committed, two turtledoves or two pigeons, one for a purification offering and the other for a burnt offering.

He led forward the bull of purification offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bull for the purification offering,

and it was slaughtered. Moses took the blood and with his finger put some on each of the horns of the altar, purifying the altar; then he poured out the blood at the base of the altar. Thus he consecrated it, to make atonement for it.

Then he brought forward the ram of burnt offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram,

as has been done today, the Lord has commanded to be done to make atonement for you.

Then Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar and sacrifice your purification offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and for the people, and sacrifice the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.”

and they shall offer their gift to the Lord, one male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb a year old without blemish as a purification offering, one ram without blemish as an offering of well-being,

The priest shall present them before the Lord and offer their purification offering and burnt offering

Then you shall have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons, and you shall present them as an elevation offering to the Lord.

Then let them take a young bull and its grain offering of choice flour mixed with oil, and you shall take another young bull for a purification offering.

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
