All their days as nazirites they are holy to the Lord.
Even if their father or mother, brother or sister, should die, they may not defile themselves, because their consecration to God is upon the head.
“If someone suddenly dies nearby, defiling the head of the nazirite, then they shall shave the head on the day of their cleansing; on the seventh day they shall shave it.
For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me the petition that I made to him.
Therefore I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives, he is given to the Lord.” And they worshiped the Lord there.
