In return for my love they accuse me, even while I make prayer for them.

I wait for the Lord; my soul waits, and in his word I hope;

Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long.

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.

But it is for you, O Lord, that I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.

Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob, and I will hope in him.

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire and out of your hand, O king, let him deliver us.

But as for you, return to your God; hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.

To you, O Lord, I cry, for fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and flames have burned all the trees of the field.

I will stand at my watchpost and station myself on the rampart; I will keep watch to see what he will say to me and what he will answer concerning my complaint.

For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she shall be immune and be able to conceive children.
