And some people were carrying to him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, child; your sins are forgiven.”

Go, eat your bread with enjoyment and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has long ago approved what you do.

I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”

So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all the sick, those who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, people possessed by demons or having epilepsy or afflicted with paralysis, and he cured them.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, “Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.

That evening they brought to him many who were possessed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and cured all who were sick.

Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that moment.

For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Stand up, take your bed, and go to your home.”

That evening, at sunset, they brought to him all who were sick or possessed by demons.

Jesus stood still and said, “Call him here.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart; get up, he is calling you.”

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”

I have said this to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution, but take courage: I have conquered the world!”

and needed no one to testify about anyone, for he himself knew what was in everyone.

Jesus said to them, “Children, you have no fish, have you?” They answered him, “No.”

He listened to Paul as he was speaking. And Paul, looking at him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

so that when the handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, their diseases left them, and the evil spirits came out of them.

That night the Lord stood near him and said, “Keep up your courage! For just as you have testified for me in Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also in Rome.”

But more than that, we even boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from works, and I by my works will show you faith.
