A windstorm suddenly arose on the sea, so great that the boat was being swamped by the waves, but he was asleep.

O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, I am about to set your stones in antimony and lay your foundations with sapphires.

The mountains saw you and writhed; a torrent of water swept by; the deep gave forth its voice. The sun raised high its hands;

And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him.

And they went and woke him up, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

and while they were sailing he fell asleep. A windstorm swept down on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and they were in danger.

For your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
