The swineherds ran off and told it in the city and in the country. Then people came to see what it was that had happened.

Those who had seen what had happened to the man possessed by demons and to the swine reported it.

As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.

for he had often been restrained with shackles and chains, but the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he broke in pieces, and no one had the strength to subdue him.

Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

She had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus’s feet and listened to what he was saying.

As he stepped out on shore, a man from the city who had demons met him. For a long time he had not worn any clothes, and he did not live in a house but in the tombs.

He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,

for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.

Samuel did what the Lord commanded and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling and said, “Do you come peaceably?”
