Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!

Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple a wooded height.

Then he asked them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down.”

Then Jesus asked him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down.”

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them.

Because of the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us,

saying, “If you, even you, had only recognized on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

“As for these things that you see, the days will come when not one stone will be left upon another; all will be thrown down.”

Conduct yourselves honorably among the gentiles, so that, though they malign you as evildoers, they may see your honorable deeds and glorify God when he comes to judge.
