He left them, went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away.

On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives, which lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the mount shall withdraw northward and the other half southward.

Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

He came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

Every day he was teaching in the temple, and at night he would go out and spend the night on the Mount of Olives, as it was called.

Now as he was approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen,

saying, “Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
