creating for their mourners the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and the near, says the Lord, and I will heal them.

Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals, and greet no one on the road.

And if a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on that person, but if not, it will return to you.

Then Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham.

You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all.

So he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

Thus you shall salute him, ‘Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.
