Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish,
You shall drink from the wadi, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
See, he will kill me; I have no hope; but I will defend my ways to his face.
Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them.
O Lord, in distress they sought you; they poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.
I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face. In their distress they will beg my favor:
Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise.
