After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He did not wish to go about in Judea because the Jews were looking for an opportunity to kill him.

When they persecute you in this town, flee to the next, for truly I tell you, you will not have finished going through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance.’

And when the chief priests and the scribes heard it, they kept looking for a way to kill him, for they were afraid of him because the whole crowd was spellbound by his teaching.

This is the testimony given by John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

he left Judea and started back to Galilee.

Now this was the second sign that Jesus did after coming from Judea to Galilee.

After this Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, also called the Sea of Tiberias.

The Jews were looking for him at the festival and saying, “Where is he?”

Yet no one would speak openly about him for fear of the Jews.

“Did not Moses give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why are you looking for an opportunity to kill me?”

Now some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, “Is not this the man whom they are trying to kill?

The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? Does he intend to go to the dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

I know that you are descendants of Abraham, yet you look for an opportunity to kill me because there is no place in you for my word.

but now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
