What are humans, that you make so much of them, that you set your mind on them,
Do you fix your eyes on such a one? Do you bring me into judgment with you?
“Can a mortal be of use to God? Can even the wisest be of service to him?
how much less a mortal, who is a maggot, and a human being, who is a worm!”
Am I the Sea or the Dragon that you set a guard over me?
O Lord, what are humans that you regard them, or mortals that you think of them?
what are humans that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?
Yet you have made them a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.
But someone has testified somewhere, “What are humans that you are mindful of them or mortals that you care for them?
Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A single flea?
