But if they do not listen, they shall perish by the sword and die without knowledge.

They despair of returning from darkness, and they are destined for the sword.

to spare their souls from the Pit, their lives from traversing the River.

“The godless in heart cherish anger; they do not cry for help when he binds them.

Their tent cord is plucked up within them, and they die devoid of wisdom.’

They die for lack of discipline, and because of their great folly they are lost.

but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are, for what their hands have done shall be done to them.

They do not jostle one another; each keeps to its own track; they burst through the weapons and are not halted.

But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.”
