on the left he hides, and I cannot behold him; I turn to the right, but I cannot see him.
I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob, and I will hope in him.

When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him? Whether nation or person, it is the same—
Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
