On that day, says the Lord of hosts, I will break his yoke from off your neck, and I will burst your bonds, and strangers shall no more make a servant of him.

Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it.

Go, tell Hananiah, Thus says the Lord: You have broken wooden bars only to forge iron bars in place of them!

I will also bring back to this place King Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim of Judah and all the exiles from Judah who went to Babylon, says the Lord, for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.”

At Tehaphnehes the day shall be dark, when I break there the dominion of Egypt, and its proud might shall come to an end; the city shall be covered by a cloud, and its daughter towns shall go into captivity.

The trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase. They shall be secure on their soil, and they shall know that I am the Lord when I break the bars of their yoke and save them from the hands of those who enslaved them.

And now I will break off his yoke from you and snap the bonds that bind you.
