Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy.

O sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.

A stern vision is told to me; the betrayer betrays, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, O Elam; lay siege, O Media; all the sighing she has caused I bring to an end.

Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on his suffering ones.

Then the heavens and the earth and all that is in them shall shout for joy over Babylon, for the destroyers shall come against her out of the north, says the Lord.

Thus says the Lord God: As the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.

Then they spoke to the angel of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees, “We have patrolled the earth, and the whole earth remains at peace.”

Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints and apostles and prophets! For God has condemned her condemnation of you.
