Dan shall be a snake by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward.

I wait for your salvation, O Lord.

Of the Danites, twenty-eight thousand six hundred equipped for battle.

At the last it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder.

If the snake bites before it is charmed, there is no advantage in a charmer.
