The Lord has greatly blessed my master, and he has become wealthy; he has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female slaves, camels and donkeys.

By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their cattle decrease.

Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.

You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand has supported me; your help has made me great.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and toil adds nothing to it.

The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

But if that slave says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the other slaves, men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk,

for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
