You who want to be reckoned as righteous by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
For no human will be justified before him by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
Listen! I, Paul, am telling you that, if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble and through it many become defiled.
Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest is still open, let us take care that none of you should seem to have failed to reach it.
Remember, then, from where you have fallen; repent and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
