The king of Egypt made his brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem and changed his name to Jehoiakim, but Neco took his brother Jehoahaz and carried him to Egypt.

Against him King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came up and bound him with fetters to take him to Babylon.

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning King Jehoiakim son of Josiah of Judah: They shall not lament for him, saying, “Alas, my brother!” or “Alas, sister!” They shall not lament for him, saying, “Alas, lord!” or “Alas, his majesty!”

When she saw that she was thwarted, that her hope was lost, she took another of her cubs and made him a young lion.
