We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up. But God will not take away a life; he will devise plans so as not to keep an outcast banished forever from his presence.

The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power and justice, and abundant righteousness he will not violate.

but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of his possession? He does not retain his anger forever because he delights in showing steadfast love.

Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.’ ”

who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
