So all the people took off the gold rings from their ears and brought them to Aaron.

Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise rebuke to a listening ear.

On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
