God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Remember how short my time is— for what vanity you have created all mortals!

When Moses saw that they had done all the work as the Lord had commanded, he blessed them.

What do people gain from all the toil at which they toil under the sun?

What gain have the workers from their toil?

The lover of money will not be satisfied with money, nor the lover of wealth with gain. This also is vanity.

This also is a grievous ill: just as they came, so shall they go, and what gain do they have from toiling for the wind?

Is it not from the Lord of hosts that peoples labor only to feed the flames and nations weary themselves for nothing?

Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment,
