Daniel 3:15

Now if you are ready, when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, drum, and entire musical ensemble, you should fall down and worship the statue that I have made. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be thrown into a furnace of blazing fire, and who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

Then the king gave the command, and Daniel was brought and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you faithfully serve, deliver you!”

When he came near the den where Daniel was, he cried out anxiously to Daniel, “O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God whom you faithfully serve been able to deliver you from the lions?”

When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you at that time,

He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he wants to, for he said, ‘I am God’s Son.’ ”

When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you who speak but the Holy Spirit.

When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you will answer or what you are to say,

If it bears fruit next year, well and good, but if not, you can cut it down.’ ”

But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge;

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.

And all who sat in the council looked intently at him, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
