Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and judge him according to your law.” The Jews replied, “We are not permitted to put anyone to death.”

You have brought these men here who are neither temple robbers nor blasphemers of our goddess.

And while they were shouting, throwing off their cloaks, and tossing dust into the air,

They did not find me disputing with anyone in the temple or stirring up a crowd either in the synagogues or throughout the city.
