After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, and after encouraging them and saying farewell, he left for Macedonia.

Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, and he could not see well. So Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.

and when he had found him he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.”

and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We remained in this city for some days.

During the night Paul had a vision: there stood a man of Macedonia pleading with him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

Now after these things had been accomplished, Paul resolved in the Spirit to go through Macedonia and Achaia and then to go on to Jerusalem. He said, “After I have gone there, I must also see Rome.”

But Paul went down and bending over him took him in his arms and said, “Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him.”

When he had gone through those regions and had given them much encouragement, he came to Greece,

where he stayed for three months. He was about to set sail for Syria when a plot was made against him by the Jews, so he decided to return through Macedonia.

There was much weeping among them all; they embraced Paul and kissed him,

by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit, so that from Jerusalem and as far around as Illyricum I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

All the brothers and sisters send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

I will visit you after passing through Macedonia—for I intend to pass through Macedonia—

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.

For even when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted in every way—disputes without and fears within.

Greet all the brothers and sisters with a holy kiss.

I urge you, as I did when I was on my way to Macedonia, to remain in Ephesus so that you may instruct certain people not to teach different teachings
