So they took him and brought him to the Areopagus and asked him, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?

Some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a great many of the devout Greeks and not a few of the leading women.

When the gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the word of the Lord, and as many as had been destined for eternal life became believers.

All the saints greet you, especially those of the emperor’s household.

Then Paul stood in front of the Areopagus and said, “Athenians, I see how extremely spiritual you are in every way.

So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

At that point Paul left them.
