On recognizing Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the gate, she ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate.

After the people of that place recognized him, they sent word to that whole surrounding region, and people brought all who were sick to him

So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples.

Yet for all their joy they were still disbelieving and wondering, and he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
